back-to-school festival

Saturday, August 3  |  8 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

Saturday, August 3, will be the biggest church missions event of the year—Western Hills Back-to-School Festival! At Western Hills Elementary School we give away backpacks and school supplies, and generally have a great time with the Western Hills families to celebrate back to school. Volunteers will be needed from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Please sign up in the Narthex after the service on Sunday or directly with Mary Jane Horn.

come & see prayer

Sunday, August 11 | 5 p.m.—Testimonies; 6 p.m.—Worship

St. Andrew’s is setting aside the second Sunday evening each month for a time of worship and prayer. Join us in the Prayer Room at 5:30 p.m. for a time of sharing testimonies. Worship will begin at 6 p.m. This is a time for us to come before the Lord, and seek him for healing, direction, or just to sit in his presence. We’ll have prayer teams available. Come and experience all that God is longing to show you.

back-to-school pool party

Family ministries invites you to celebrate/mourn going back to to school with a pool party. Join us at Leawood Pool on Sunday, August 11, beginning at 5 p.m. We’ll have pizza for dinner, popsicles for dessert and hours of great swimming and fellowship time.

move-up sunday

Sunday, August 18, is St. Andrew’s Move-Up Sunday—the Sunday that our children graduate to their next class. Those starting kindergarten this fall will begin worshiping with their parents in the service and are invited to follow the cross out during the sermon ENCOUNTER Kids.

community groups

Begins Sunday, August 18

St. Andrew’s is kicking off its seasonal community groups, offering more accessible on and off-ramps to community and discipleship. Fall Community Groups will have a 14-week run beginning the week of August 18 and ending in late November gathering weekly to share a meal and engage with scripture. 

Sign ups for Fall Community Groups have started! To participate, simply click here.

Groups will be meeting at various times and locations throughout the city. Once you have signed up, we will work to match you with the group that best fits your schedule. We will contact you with your assigned group after registration ends on August 5. 

If you are already in a group, please sign up and indicate your group leaders’ name.

newcomers’ dessert
