advent art

School just started, so of course, we are thinking about Advent! We’ve begun work on our 2024 Advent Guide and corresponding Advent resources, and we would love to incorporate original art by our church members—both young and old. Whether your medium is watercolor, charcoal, photography, crayons, clay or pastels, we would love to have you participate in this church-wide project as we seek to glorify God through art. Art should focus on the four themes of Advent—hope, peace, joy and love. And as a reminder, Advent is before, not part of, the season of Christmas.

How to Submit Art

Digital art can be emailed to Beka. Please make sure the file is at least 2mb.

Physical art can be brought to the church office on Sundays or during the week. If you would like your artwork back, you may pick it up in the office after Christmas.

Due to limited space, we may not be able to use every submission in our Advent resources. However, we will have a display set up in the Narthex for all submissions.

All submissions must be received in the church office no later than Sunday, November 3.

To find out more, reach out to Beka LeMaster.

FAMILY MINISTRY

wreath making event

Thursday, November 21 | 6-7:30 p.m.

Tis the Season!

Family Ministries is getting ready for Advent 2024, and we want you to join us! This will be a fun family night where you can make your very own Advent wreath together (we’ll have all the supplies) and enjoy dinner, worship and a teaching on the symbolism and meaning of the wreath and what it means to celebrate the coming of Christ. Each family will leave with a wreath and candles and memories you will treasure, as well as your own devotional guide to do at home.

Even if you already have a wreath or don’t feel crafty, this is for you. It will be a fun and easy night and we hope to see you there. You must register your family in order to attend.
