Beatitudes Sale

Sunday, December 15 | after the 2nd service

Beatitudes works directly with the Pwojè Fanm (“Women’s Projects”) vocational program in Haiti to sell their wares to support their program. Please come see us after second service in the Andrew room, where we will sell beautiful handcrafts made by the ladies of the Pwojè Fanm. Items include jewelry, handbags, accessories, home decor items and stuffed toys, as well as delicious fair trade Haitian chocolate. 

WESTERN HILLS ELEMENTARY

Christmas Celebration

Wednesday, December 18 | 6-7:30 p.m.

Christmas Celebration is a new vision of Christmas Blessing with a new goal of involving more families from Western Hills. Instead of an step-by-step plan for all families, we are envisioning a more open event where families can move from room to room to take advantage of crafts, gifts, entertainment, food and even a hot cocoa bar and cookie decorating. We are also planning a Live Nativity and even a raffle (aimed at adults) at the end of the evening. 

The children of Western Hills will be having their Christmas concert during our sanctuary time, which will add to the festive flair of the evening. Each family will still receive a plate of Christmas cookies to take home. The students will still receive uniforms, socks and a sweatshirt for the second half of their school year, as well as some surprises. Our goal is to tie secular things about Christmas to the Jesus of Christmas. Christmas Decorating

Monday, December 23 | 10 a.m.

Join us as we decorate the church for Christmas Eve! We’ll meet at 10 am on Monday, December 23 to decorate the church. Everyone is welcome—especially folks brave enough to climb a very tall ladder! Light lunch provided. Please contact Jennifer Holsted if you plan to attend.

Christmas Eve Services

Tuesday, December 24 | 3, 5 & 10 p.m.

Worship with us at one of our Christmas Eve candlelight services. At 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., everyone will worship together at our family services, which include Christmas carols, a short message, a children’s gift, Holy Communion and end with the candlelight singing of Silent Night. At 10 p.m., celebrate the birth of our savior at our traditional candlelight service.

Lessons & Carols

Sunday, December 29 | 10 a.m.

We will read and sing our way through the Christmas story in one, combined, family worship service. There will be no adult discipleship or children’s Sunday school classes, ENCOUNTER kids or Early Childhood classes. 

Baptism Sunday

Sunday, January 12 | both services

We will be celebrating the sacrament of baptism on Sunday, January 12. If you would like to be baptized, or have your child baptized, either at the font or through immersion, contact Jennifer no later than Tuesday, December 17.
