DESCRIPTION:GriefShare is a grief recovery ministry for individuals who have experienced the death of a spouse\, child\, family member or friend. Each of the 13 GriefShare sessions consists of a video seminar\, group support\, and a workbook for personal study involving scripture. This nondenominational program features Christ-centered\, biblical teaching that focuses on grief topics associated with the death of a loved one. The DVD seminar features nationally respected grief experts and real-life stories of people\, followed by a small group discussion about what was seen on the DVD. Many grieving people find they are only beginning the work of healing when friends or family have returned to their daily life routines. No matter the cause of your loved one’s death\, this is an opportunity to be around people who understand what you are feeling. You will learn how to recognize the symptoms of being stuck in grief and that you do not need to live in bondage as a slave to certain emotions. You will learn valuable information about facing your new normal in life and renewing your hope for the future. DESCRIPTION:THE SERVICES\nThe 8:45 a.m. worship service is more traditional. The liturgy is followed in a printed program with a mixture of ancient and modern hymns. It is approximately 70 minutes in length. \nThe 11 a.m. worship service is more contemporary. The liturgy is followed on two projection screens with hymns set to modern accompaniment and the newest songs of praise. It is approximately 90 minutes in length. \nCHILDREN IN THE SERVICE\nA Mother’s Room\, with volume-controlled audio of the service\, is available for nursing moms and those with infants. \nChild care for infants through preschoolers is available throughout the service. Children may be picked up at The Peace to partake in Holy Communion with their families. \nKindergarteners through sixth graders follow the cross out of the sanctuary after the Gospel reading for KREW Cuts\, a creative time of worship designed specifically for kids\, before returning for Holy Communion. \nBETWEEN THE SERVICES\nClasses for all age groups are available between services (10:10-10:50 a.m.). \nBeginnings\nMusic class for toddlers and preschoolers is held in the preschool room. Child care for infants in available in the infant room. \nK.R.E.W\nChildren learn about our faith in Christ in an age-appropriate way through lessons built around the Kid’s Quest Catechism Club by Great Commission Publications. \nDASH\nSeventh through twelfth graders participate in teaching and discussion on a companion verse or parallel topic to the day’s sermon. \nAdults\nWe always have several classes for adults\, find out the current offerings here.

DESCRIPTION:Please join us from 7-8 p.m. each evening from Sunday\, February 11–Tuesday\, February 13 for a time of preparation for Lent. This will be a time for us to create space in our busy lives\, to slow down and turn to the Lord to see what he wants to show us. Robert has asked that we all clear out our evenings the beginning of that week to make time to gather in the sanctuary for worship music\, prayer and scripture reading. \nCHILD CARE VOUCHER\nIn an effort to incorporate our families with young children and in lieu of on-site child care\, we are offering a $30 voucher for each evening you attend the Time of Preparation services. It is our desire to serve your family and bless you. Please pick up the voucher form each evening and return the completed forms to Kathy Stephenson in the office by February 19. Checks will be issued one week after receipts are turned in. Auditing principles prevent us from reimbursing you for any family member who would be keeping your children.
