DESCRIPTION:This school year\, we are beginning a new discipleship pathway that will help us re-frame our faith as we submit the real stuff of our lives to be transformed by the gospel. We will look at basic Christian truths that we take for granted and how our culture has twisted our thought process about each truth. We’ll look for the lie in each twist and ask how Christ is inviting us to go from the lie to the truth in some actionable way.   From 6-7:30 p.m. every other Monday night from August 22–November 14\, we’ll meet together at the church for a family dinner\, a short teaching and small group discussion. On the off weeks\, the small groups will split up into 2 groups (A & B) and meet to go deeper in the discussion of the previous week’s topic. When we say family\, we do mean family. It is approximately 90 minutes in length. \nCHILDREN IN THE SERVICE\nA Mother’s Room\, with volume-controlled audio of the service\, is available for nursing moms and those with infants. \nChild care for infants through preschoolers is available throughout the service. Children may be picked up at The Peace to partake in Holy Communion with their families. \nKindergarteners through sixth graders follow the cross out of the sanctuary after the Gospel reading for Encounter KIDS\, a creative time of worship designed specifically for kids\, before returning for Holy Communion. \nBETWEEN THE SERVICES\nClasses for all age groups are available between services (10:10-10:50 a.m.). \nBeginnings\nMusic class for toddlers and preschoolers is held in the preschool room. DESCRIPTION:THE SERVICES\nThe 8:45 a.m. worship service is more traditional. The liturgy is followed in a printed program with a mixture of ancient and modern hymns. It is approximately 70 minutes in length. \nThe 11 a.m. worship service is more contemporary. The liturgy is followed on two projection screens with hymns set to modern accompaniment and the newest songs of praise.
